Who am I?
I am a franchise lawyer of almost two decades, a wife of almost 3 decades, a mother of two grown boys, and an avid reader of romance novels.
What will you find on my blog?
This blog reviews the legal conflict tropes in romance novels, assessing the accuracy and plausibility of the legal issues presented & the responses of the characters to the legal conflict. I'll also do my best to provide some examples that could create the legal conflict in a plausible way and provide some plain language basic definitions.
Why did I start this blog?
I LOVE romance novels, and I understand that not all the concepts that appear in fiction are real, but even an otherwise enjoyable novel falls flat for me if the legal issues or behaviors of the characters to a legal issue are totally implausible. Let's see if we can't help save these stories from such a fate!
